Adventures into the Secrets of Group Pilgrimages through Italian Holy Sites

Guest: Heléna Zeisler, pilgrimage guide (Via Sacra Pilgrimage Travel Agency)

How does a pilgrim differ from a "regular" tourist, and in what ways are they similar? How did I choose this calling? Adventures into the secrets of group pilgrimages through Italian holy sites...

We are all pilgrims on this earth: our pilgrimage lasts until we arrive at the Father's house. During our journey, we need a constant anticipation of Heaven, even if only in tiny moments or through an entire week dedicated to a pilgrimage.

The silence of the holy sites we visit, or even the crowds of pilgrims gathering there, teach us how to integrate these moments into our own lives or share them with those around us. This is a learning process that I, as a pilgrimage guide, also had to master and must now pass on to my fellow travelers.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and an opportunity for a friendly discussion!

Location: 1053 Budapest, Ferenciek tere 7-8. (Staircase V, in the courtyard behind the church).

Date and Time: Wednesday, May 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM

Attendance is free of charge. However, we would be grateful for a donation equivalent to the price of a theatre ticket to support the maintenance of the Pilgrimage Center. Contributions can be made on-site.
